The Mom Behind Home And Mom
Hi! I’m a working mom to a wonderful 5-year-old girl, and I started Home And Mom because I couldn’t find the website I desperately needed when I became a mother.
Every parenting blog I found was either too clinical (“studies show that…”), too Western (“here’s how to set up your nursery in your 3-bedroom apartment”), or too perfect (“my child eats organic kale smoothies for breakfast”). None of them felt like they were talking to ME — an Indian working mom trying to figure out how to make dal-chawal exciting for a toddler while answering work emails.
So I built Home And Mom to be the website I wished existed. A place where:
- Real talk replaces textbook advice
- Indian food, culture, and family dynamics are the default, not the exception
- “Good enough” parenting is celebrated, not shamed
- Working moms find practical tips that fit their actual lives
- Every mom walks away feeling better than when she arrived
I’m not a parenting expert. I’m not a doctor. I’m just a mom who’s been through the sleepless nights, the feeding battles, the guilt, the joy, the utter chaos of raising a tiny human while holding down a career — and I’m sharing what I’ve learned along the way.
If even one thing on this website makes your day a little easier, I’ve done my job.
With love and solidarity,
A Fellow Mom ❤️
